GES NA Operations Engineering is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented Operations Engineers to root cause, solve, and scale systemic engineering challenges in First and Middle Mile Operations.

We’re looking to add a handful of high-impact operations engineers to our team. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to develop, monitor and innovate cost-effective solutions for our sortation and distribution systems. Your projects vary across building type and Line of Business, adding a vital contribution to the end to end Ops engineering lifecycle.

You will work with a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. Our team works on hundreds of projects each year. You will be challenged; you will learn; you will work on high impact, high visibility projects; you will grow.

This role requires 50% regional travel and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Candidates should either live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Key job responsibilities
• Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions and processes for the sortation and transportation network through process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations.
• Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to generate high-quality, cost-effective solutions in very short periods of time.
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors.
• Effective communication skills, ability to execute the vision, detailed roadmap, and specific technical solutions.
• Travel Requirements : 50%

About the team
Tiger Teams leverage Lean methodology and continuous improvement skill sets to tackle complex, high-visibility MHE performance challenges. Upon solving a systemic problem at one site, they scale and systematize their solution to similar site footprints.
