Position Summary

At General Atlantic, we are committed to excellence, fostering an inclusive work environment, and providing strategic HR support to ensure the success of our teams. We are looking to hire a Temporary HR Business Partner for six-month assignment to support our business objectives during a busy period for the Investment, Investment Support and Capital Solutions teams in the U.S. This role works closely with senior leadership and managers to provide comprehensive HR support across the organization. This role is ideal for an HR professional with experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and will support the business in areas such as talent management, employee relations, organizational development, and performance management. This person will collaborate with other HR functions (compensation, benefits, recruitment, etc.) to support firm-wide HR initiatives and reports directly into the CHRO.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations – Manage employee relations issues (i.e. disciplinary processes, investigations) in a sensitive and timely manner. Will be expected to take the lead and drive processes to successful conclusion.
  • Performance Management – Work closely with management to ensure the performance feedback process is managed effectively. This includes but is not limited to coaching managers to deliver effective year-end reviews; advising management on outcomes; and working closely with the HCM Operations and Compensation teams.
  • Immigration – Steer immigration requests and cases for new hires and current global population.
  • Talent Development – Work closely with HRBP team on training initiatives and support ongoing programmatic efforts across the firm.
  • Year-End Processes – Support HCM team with all year-end processes, including performance reviews, promotion nominations and compensation meeting preparation.
  • Ad-hoc Projects – Assist with requests by the CHRO. Aid implementation of other corporate HCM initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally in the private equity, finance, or professional services sector
  • Bachelor’s degree required; specialization in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and employee relations
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Experience in compensation analysis and structuring.
  • Familiarity with HR software systems (e.g., Workday)
