Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization. The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

We have an exciting opportunity in the CSCP Strategy and Transformation (S&T) organization. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager (PM) who will help define our overall strategy for Sourcing and Risk & Compliance Initiatives, create a product roadmap that will help execute our mission and drive program and product deliverables.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years combined experience: Supply Chain, Cloud Program Management, Product Management, Data Science, Operations Research, technical/engineering role(s).
  • 2+ years of experience leading product management and/or implementing automation systems.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years combined experience: Supply Chain, Cloud Program Management, Product Management, Data Science, Operations Research, technical/engineering role(s).
  • 3-5 years of experience leading product management and/or implementing automation systems.
  • Understanding of supply chain fundamentals
  • Understanding of Cloud Fundamentals and Technologies
  • MBA/MS/graduate degree in a quantitative field.
  • Proven success in collaborating across engineering, business, data science, and operational teams, up to and including working with Partner/GM level stakeholders.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • 3 - 5 years demonstrated proficiency in product management and executive level presentations and communications.
  • Ability to quickly learn existing concepts and employ new techniques.

Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.

Responsibilities

As a Product Manager II, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead key work streams for Cloud Supply Chain Strategy and Digital Transformation efforts in the Sourcing area.
  • Deliver Microsoft Cloud supply chain innovations by employing a data driven and product engineering mindset.
  • Break ambiguous and complex problems into a manageable list of epics and features through clear and comprehensive specification writing.
  • Proactively mitigate critical risks to the product roadmap.
  • Market both in-flight and envisioned product capabilities and strategies to leaders, influencing for impact.
  • Drive Supply Chain & Engineering Excellence.
